Went to see Hangar 18, a Megadeth tribute band in San Diego 3,4 weeks ago (They were awesome). Anyway a Scorpions tribute band, Blackout, opened up. They were really great! Great musicians and the singer nails Klaus Meine. Talked to the singer after the show and said how much I liked them and that they should get a spot opening up for the Punks in Diego sometime. He said they'd try. So I'm cruising their website (www.blackout-scorpionstribute.com) the other day and guess who's opening up for the Punks in Anaheim at the HOB? Blackout! If at all possible, you want to check these guys out. Plus I hear the Punks are pretty good. I'd go but I got tickets for Megadeth Monday and Tuesday next week and I don't know if the old checkbook can handle it.

Blackout was GREAT! The lead singer does in fact nail Klaus. They were havin' a great time and sounded really good.
If your a Scorps fan, check these guys out. There really were good.

dan each time you post something you are critical of the crowd. the fans rock and make the concerts that much better. if i did not know better i would think you thought you were an editor for rolling stone. have a little fun tough guy.
peace, love and early van halen!

Dude, where did you read anything about the crowd at this show? Dan didn't even mention it! He was all praise for the Scorps tribute band... wrong thread, maybe?

Elwood:
Dude, I pulled my responce to UsFestival83. Not cool to have a back and forth in your post.
He's intitled to his opinion (tho I'm still not getting where he thinks I'm being harsh about the crowd just writing as I see). Oh well.
Thanks again for the "Blackout" recommendation. [ November 01, 2004, 02:04 PM: Message edited by: Dan5150 ]
