Are any of these songs on the set list?: Panama, Jump, Romeo Delight, drop dead legs, top jimmy, women and children first.
I really like these songs from the DLR era, and I was wondering if any of them were on your list.
Thanks in advance!

Yes! They play all the songs you've listed. Some are heard more often than others, it just depends on the mood of the band that night.

We don't play Top Jimmy, but there is a new song that will be in every show.

I'm going to try to get to the front of the stage instead of hanging in the back by the sound guy like i did at the peacemakers gig. Look for me! I'm gonna wear my VH '04 tour with the 1984 eagle on it... rock on!!

BTW, there is no evidence that the real Van Halen (any incarnation) ever played "Top Jimmy" live either
There is speculation about how the guitars were dubbed or something that prevented the band from creating some of the tone (or something) outside of the studio
Some other classic VH songs from the first 6 albums that were never performed live:
"'Dirty Movies'" The Atomic Punks sometimes play a little tease of this song.
"Push Comes To Shove"
"One Foot Out The Door"
"Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William Now)" (requires a clarinet player, which was performed by Ed's dad for the album)
"Drop Dead Legs" (there's an unconfirmed rumor they did it in NYC once). It is always cool when the Atomic Punks do perform this song!!
If anybody has a live VH recording with any of these songs, please contact me

The Punks did a fun semi-a capella version of this song at 14 Below a couple of months ago while Russ was retuning his guitar after playing "Little Guitars", because (and quoting Ralph), "It's what you do in this cases." Sounded very well with just bass and drums...

AlbertR,
Regarding the "Drop Dead Legs" rumor in NYC 84. Van Halen did NOT play DDL in New York on 3/30/84 or 3/31/84. Both of these boots are widely circulated, decent sound for a 84 show. The only known time for sure was on 11/19/2004 Tuscon, AZ at the soundcheck when Ed, Al & Mike played the riff to DDL. It sounded incredible.
Here is the setlist for NYC 3/30-31/84 Unchained Hot for Techer On Fire Runnin With the Devil Little Guitars Bass Solo/House of Pain Jamie's Crying I'll Wait Everybody Wants Some Girl Gone Bad 1984 Jump Guitar Solo Pretty Woman Panama You Really Got Me Ain't Talkin Bout Love
