Found out about you fellas off eddievanhalen.com and I was stunned after downloading all your videos. I showed some friends and they couldn't believe it was a tribute band and not "the VanHalen". It was made even more believable showing the "Mike jams w/ Punks" video.
After quitting my band 5 years ago (a band I was in for almost 10 years), you fellas have inspired me to pick the axe up again. Thanks.
My fiance and I are looking forward to having our minds blown.
Love what you do and here's towards continued success! I'm looking forward to shaking hands with you Ralph, Russ, Scott, and Joe.

The Atomic Punks Rock!
I promised I'd come back and post some pics from the July 15th POV show and here they are...
The punks' flight was delayed getting into KMSP (so I was told) and the opening act failed to show up. Cripes, if I had known they were going to bail on you, I would have brought our band to open up for you.
Let me just summarize by saying this, the Punks were AWESOME! They were all that I hoped for. We travelled 2 hours to come to Andover and that ain't cheap with today's gas prices. The hotel cost $75, we spent $25 on food, and $40 on drinks at the show. Don't forget, the $20 I dropped to get a Atomic Punk T-shirt. If it sounds like I'm complaining...I'm not. I finally regained my voice after about 3 days and my ears stopped ringing after about 6 days. I probably suffered some form of permanent hearing loss...and it was AWESOME!
The punks didn't just play the hits, but also some of the more obscure stuff as well. Some chick spilled beer all over our backs and yet we didn't care. The guys in the band were very friendly and they are quick to remind their fans that they "are not Van Halen", but they "have a helluva lot fun pretending to be". LOL
Oh my god...if I didn't know any better, I'd swear Ralph was the living sight/sounds of DLR. Where in God's name did you learn how to scream like that? AMAZING! Russ just nails the "brown sound" like no other, and Joe and Scott lay a wicked foundation that had us...well, I've run out of crazy adjectives to describe them. The performance was second-to-none. I'm amazed at how seemless and professionally sewn together the tunes were. Even between songs...you had us in disbelief.
After the show, I really appreciated the time you gave us for a picture. Believe me, I know how it feels after a show when people want this and that from you and all you want to do is go home and sleep. It was really wonderful of you to take the time to do that. It might be difficult (at times) for you fellas to swallow the fact that you play covers...but, you couldn't have represented a band (VH) any better than you do and I can only imagine the thousands of people who appreciate as much as I do. What you do is very special and don't take that lightly. You represent an element of fun and good times that people in this country are in a time of need for. It is my hope that you continue doing what you do and I know success will follow you.
We had a great time and I hope to come up one more time in September to see you all again before we move. I'll try and bring a few friends as well!
Thanks for a memorable evening...Joe, Scott, Russ, and Ralph! BTW...Scott, I'm sorry you weren't in our "group shot"...but, Ralph thought you would better serve the band by going off and making sure you got paid. If you didn't get paid, then let us know and we'll make sure you do! LOL!
