Ok, don't shoot me, but I am curious if the guys have any original material. I realize they cover the Almighty Van HALEN, but all great bands like to work on their own stuff as well in their spare time. Also, since they are obviously big fans as well as influenced by VH, I think it would be cool to hear what they would come up with if they were to write in the VH frame of mine...

Well all the guys have been in original bands in the past. Ralph was in LA Guns for a while. Russ played with Rob Halford's band Fight some years back. Joe has his original band "California" who opened for Stevie Nicks, and Russ has his called "The Ducks," where he is the lead singer and guitar player. Their web site is at http://www.theducks.tv, you can actually hear some of their original material.

Also the Punks were putting together some original material when Bart Walsh was playing guitar in '99. But he got called to play with DLR, so that project has been on hold since then.

Russ' band, The Ducks, is one of my fave bands! If you haven't heard their stuff yet, head on over to their site which you can now find at www.theducks.net as well as www.theducks.tv

Sidenote, the guy that currently plays drums for Metal Shop, Darren Leader, is also the drummer for the Ducks.
