Ray Luzier's Calendar Page shows that yesterday (10/13) Metal Shop played a Sunday night show in Pasadena but there is no mention of this on this website! Ray rocks, and Pasadena is not too far from me. I also really dig Metal Shop!!
I know this is the Atomic Punks website, but it would be nice if all shows by their side bands were listed on the calendar here
If the band doesn't care if they get any fans to show up at the shows, then I guess it makes sense to keep these shows a secret
Recently there was that Thursday night Metal Shop show that wasn't annouced here until hours before the start of the show.. how can you plan on that?
It also doesn't help that the Perfect World Entertainment management is beyond lame and provides no help in the showing support for their talented bands like Metal Shop, M-80's, etc.
Thanks for letting me vent a little. I haev nothing against the Atomic Punks, as they totally rock

Albert, you need to calm down. This site is for the Atomic Punks first. All other shows are added as time permits. This show was brought to my attention 3 days before the show date. Maybe you should build a Metal Shop site and maintain it. That way you will know when all the shows are. It sounds like you are digging at our web masters and that's not cool!
If you feel the need to reply don't use e-mail call me and we can talk. You have my numbers

Ralph, you're totally right, I just needed to calm down and put things in perspective. Thanks.
This site's calendar is primarily for the Atomic Punks, and your webmasters are doing a great job at supporting your band. I did NOT mean anything against your band or your webmasters, sorry!
It is just sometimes frustrating being a fan of your bands, but that is my problem, not yours (and not your Atomic Punks webmasters).
I'm better now. Again, thanks for letting me vent a little. I'll try to keep things in check.

A real (not lame Perfect World) Metal Shop website could totally kick ass (remember the Danger Kitty one that Discover Card created?) and would help bring back Heavy Metal!
I have no time (or skills) to build & maintain a Metal Shop website (I'm too busy trying to find out about last-minute shows) but hopefully another big fan out there can step up!

Your best bet is to have this person put together a proposal. That includes several sample designs the band can look at, examples of other sites this person has built, relevant experience in HTML, graphics design, and other pertinent web building techniques. This is standard procedure and will probably show the band that this is a serious endeavor.
As for who you should contact about Metal Shop, well I would start with Ralph or Russ since they are in the band. Both of their e-mails are accessible from here, as is a contact number for the Punks. That's the best advice this site can give.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the advice, Brett. I really appreciate it.
One more question, if you don't mind - how come YOU aren't running Metal Shop's site? [ November 10, 2002, 08:06 PM: Message edited by: SoCalChelle ]

Well I'm just happy doing this and devoting 100% of the time necessary to help the Punks.
