Not sure of the source of this story, but I found it interesting:
LAVIGNE'S EMBARRASSING NIGHT OUT
Teen pop star Avril Lavigne was left red-faced in the audience at a recent rock gig, when the band playing took time out of performing to slam her.
Canadian Lavigne, 19, was recognized in the crowd at West Hollywood nightclub Viper Room on December 8 by members of
Metal Shop -- who, according to US Weekly, stopped singing to yell, "You're not a rock star -- you're a pop star!"
Lavigne, who was accompanied by pals -- including Cone McCaslin and Steve Jocz of Sum 41 -- took the jibes in her stride.
An eyewitness says, "She was laughing."
According to fellow revelers, Lavigne even accommodated the band's request that she lift her shirt up.
The source adds, "She had on a very sheer black bra."

The funny thing is, they do it all the time with other musicians too, and only now it's surfaced. It's also funny I've got about 5 emails so far from friends who saw the story and went, "She has to know about this..."

Got my copy of the magazine today = the report is on page 46 (I'm suscribed to that mag, for professional reasons. Besides the gossip, there's info on upcoming movies and shows I may be working on.) It also said that she wanted to stage dive in the last song, but that nobody would catch her... I doubt that it's true, but you never know...

I was at the Viper Room that night... that little girl, Levigne, is wild, she really did lift her shirt up not once but twice..and you are right..she's flat as a board..heheh.. everything the article mentions is true... as a matter of fact they toned it down a bit. Avril did a stage dive and all. On top of it all she was standing a bit too close to Ginger Roxxx-pretending to play his bass guitar...

First of all, keep her away from Ginger Roxx. That's just not right. LOL!
Second of all, don't you have to be 21 to get into the Viper Room?

Guess it doesn't count when you're a "celebrity," PunkPrincess...
One comment that I liked about that report was that Metal Shop were "the headliners of the evening" or something similar - I do know headlining was involved. Ratchett would be proud of that...

Pretty stupid if you ask me. Why risk your liquor license? The Viper Room better hope no authorities get a hold of that article.

..now that you mentioned the age & liquor thing...Avril was not the only minor in the place... her zit popping frieds did not look a day older than 16-ish.. She brought a little boy on stage w/her... he was bashed big time by Michael Diamond... heheh. I can't recall exactly what he said, but it was pretty funny.
