I gotta disagree w/ the comments about the show in San Diego last night. It was average at best. Eddie looked he was having fun, but fell way short of expectations. I expect more from a legend. He looked tired. Sammy sounded good as usual, but was way too focused on signing autographs and pretending to be Dave. Alex sounded crisp and was into his set. However, Michael was the only one in true VH form last night. He kicked ass. I have seen Van Halen at least 10 times before, this performance was pretty lackluster. I truly think the Punks would have blown them off the stage. More energy, more enthusiam, more REAL Van Halen.

Dude...Sammy's been doing that since Montrose. 5 years before Van Halen was even formed.
He started doing it a LOT on tour for the RED album. People would throw all kinds of red shirts, jackets, boas...you name it...and Sammy would run around putting the stuff on.
By the end of the show...his stage was a mess.
I'm no Van Hagar lover....but I'm just telling you, he's been like this longer than Dave's been in bands. [ August 22, 2004, 01:08 PM: Message edited by: RacerXWebguy ]

I thought San Diego was the best of the 4 shows I went to. Eddie's guitar solo kicked total ass. Do you know if anybody got a bootleg of that show?
