I am friends with a few people who work at the Suncoast where Metal Shop use to perform. Around the middle of last December there was serious talk amongst the big shots about bringing them back. However, it ended up not happening because of Metal Skools $#@!*# Ex-Manager. Here's what happened...There is this band that has been performing at the Suncoast since it opened called "The Spazmatics." They pack the showroom every Wednesday night. Metal Skools Ex-Manager is the Spazmatics manager. He had the nerve to tell the Suncoast that if they brought back Metal Skool he would pull the Spazmatics from their hotel. The Suncoast gave in to him because they couldn't risk losing the Spazmatics. THEN Metal Skools Ex-Manager decided to put together a cheap imitation of the real Metal Shop. The imitaion got the slot to perform on tuesdays at the Suncoast. Barely anyone showed up to their first show, and week after week they were only filling about half of the showroom. They got fired after a couple of months at the Suncoast. And now on Tuesday nights it is 50's Sock Hop music, with tons of senior citizens packing the showroom. I want Metal Skool back. You guys that live in L.A. and San diego are so lucky you get to see Metal Skools hot faces and rock out to 80's metal all the time!
